The buds of the lilies were about 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inches thick.

Some plants had as few as 3 buds and others as many as 7.
The plants grew to just over three feet tall and were able to support themselves very well.
The bulbs were planted six inches down in the dirt in September and bloomed in December

The buds stayed green until they were just about ready to bloom and then turned red.
